Sometimes it's just PERFECT!

I needed pics for a CT page I needed to make so out we went for a photo shoot. Here are a few that we took:

Cute, but not exactly what I was looking for. I tried to make it work and it just wasn't! The pink dress just wasn't working with the kit colors.....so, what do you do? You change outfits and do the photo shoot again!!! LOL This time we took over 100 shots and I got some that I think will end up on my wall! =) YAY!

She's very into posing for the camera, at least for a few shots, but it looks more like a cheerleader pose at this point! Gotta work on that! Kassi?? Where are you?! We need more photo shoot lessons for Kaity!!! LOL!!!!

Now here's some of the best pics and I totally LOVE how the LO turned out!!

And here is the kit I used: 100% Girl by Christy Skaggs
I also used pieces from her mini kit also found in her store.

New kit and a Freebie link! =)

I was thrilled to be selected to do a one-kit call for Captivated Visions. She just put out a beautiful kit called Aqua that is ideal for all beach, boating, and water layouts. It also works for anything you want to scrap that "speaks serenity" to you and involves a "cool" color palette. Here are a few layouts I made with her new AQUA kit:

She has a sale going on right now through June 10th so don't miss out on that!

Stephanie and I both made freebie QPs that you can get on Captivated Vision's blog HERE or click the image below for the download link.

Naturally Happy by Christy Skaggs

It seems strange scrapping Halloween during the Spring, but I really like how this turned out. This page was made entirely from Christy Skaggs' Naturally Happy kit! =) There are a lot of fun items in here like the paint splatters, torn paper edgings and stitches. Also, check out those borders--they come like that in the kit and it made for a fast layout!!! Always a plus! =) Click the preview to be taken to Christy's store. There are lots of add ons, an alpha and quick pages available too, collect the whole set!

I love a good Speed Scrap!

Sometimes the most amazing pages emerge during a Speed Scrap! Usually they start out kind of "iffy" and by the end I either love it or hate it! LOL....this one I LOVE!!!!

Here's another...

7) "Transformers" Scraplift a given layout. Actually I did this one in a speed scrap, but it turned out pretty cute.

ALL NEW LAYOUTS!

I was a BUSY scrapper for iNSD!!! I did those Speed Scraps and there are still more to come, but I started this Red Carpet Scrap a Thon WAY too late. I didn't see it until the last minute, so I didn't finish all 10, but here are the ones I did get done! =) I still plan on finishing the others even though the competition is now over.

You Only Live Twice Challenge:

This page I whipped up only out of her elements pack since that is all I got to begin with. For the challenge she let us download half of her My Little Artist kit and once we completed a page and uploaded it in time she would give us the rest of the links. I just got all the links, it is a cute kit!

Red Carpet Scrap a Thon:

1) "Night at the Museum" challenge: Dust off an old kit you've been meaning to use and go for it! This one is "Wish You Were Here" by HollyAnn.

2) "Grand Theft Layout" this was a scraplift from Linz's gallery. I pretty much did her layout but with a different kit! I have more to add to it, but this is what I turned in since it was all her layout had.

3) "National Treasure" We had to use 2 papers and 4 elements out of this freebie mini kit. This WAS a challenge for me since I don't have any fancy dress up/red heel kind of pics!

So, this is what I came up with:

4) "The DaVinci Code" We had to follow a 'code' or set of instructions on what to include in the layout! I love how it turned out. We'll be celebrating 17 years this summer, maybe I'll actually get my wedding album done one of these days! This was made with one of my NEW favorite kits: So This Is Love by Sahlin Studios!! Can you believe that this is her FIRST official kit as a new designer...I can't wait to see where she goes from here!

5) "American Idol" For this we had to use this song for inspiration:
PURE IMAGINATION (from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory)
Hold your breath
Make a wish
Count to three
Come with me
And you'll be
In a world of
Pure imagination
Take a look
And you'll see
Into your imagination
We'll begin
With a spin
Traveling in
The world of my creation
What we'll see
Will defy
Explanation
If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanta change the world?
There's nothing
To it
There is no
Life I know
To compare with
Pure imagination
Living there
You'll be free
If you truly wish to be
If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanta change the world?
There's nothing
To it
There is no
Life I know
To compare with
Pure imagination
Living there
You'll be free
If you truly
Wish to be
I took the two lines highlighted above to scrap this pic looking back over Oahu from the top of Diamond Head from our 10th Anniversary.

6) "Me, Myself, & Irene" for this one we just had to come up with something that defines us, makes us unique, etc. Not that being a teacher is unique or different, but it has always been a big part of who I am from the time I was very little. I had a student remind me of that this week!
......stay tuned, MORE TO FOLLOW!! =)
